How it works:
The sealing gasket is attached to the heat transfer plate, forming a flow channel to seal the fluid from leaking out. The number of heat exchange plates is determined based on the amount of fluid, the physical properties of the fluid, pressure drop, and thermal conditions. The cover plate prevents the plate from bending due to pressure difference. In the assembly of the board, the surface with gaskets points towards the fixed cover, and each board is suspended alternately in opposite directions. In this way, the two liquids can flow and transfer heat in their respective regions.

The volume of the tube side and shell side of the shell and tube heat exchanger is large. In order for the system to work properly, a large amount of medium must be filled. On the one hand, the semi-welded plate heat exchanger is small in size, and on the other hand, the spacing size is also small, so it occupies a small area, is easy to install, and saves space.
Since water can form high-speed turbulence in the plate heat exchanger at a low flow rate, the temperature distribution is very uniform, thus reducing the freezing tendency of the chilled water. Even if freezing occurs, it can better withstand the pressure generated by freezing and can continue to be used after freezing, unlike shell and tube heat exchangers, which are prone to tube rupture.
